Oolong Mei Gui

Oolong tea, like other types of tea, is obtained from the Camellia sinensis plant. This category of tea falls somewhere between green teas and black teas. Because it partially underwent the oxidation process. It is a very versatile category and can vary from about 15% oxidation up to 80% oxidation, depending on the processing. This gives us completely different smells, tastes and the very appearance of the tea. Oolong tea can be very bright, flowery, grassy and light, and it can be much darker, stronger, more mature and full of flavor.

These teas can be of different shapes. Shape of oolong is ball or a curl, or a strip with a slightly more open leaf.  All these differences between oolong teas come from the processing method itself. Leaf processing, and the tea production process is a complex process that produces highly drinkable and delicious teas.

The oolong teas we have are ball oolongs, including Mei gui oolong.

Mei Gui means “rose” in translation, and this oolong tea, in addition to its naturally floral and fresh scent and soft and pleasant taste, is enriched with fragrant rose buds. This tea, like other oolong teas, can be poured more than once.
